Eleven new teachers were recognized at graduation ceremonies for the Alaska Highway Consortium on Teacher Education (AHCOTE) program offered at Northern Lights College.

The 2010 graduating class was recognized on Dec. 2 at the North Peace Cultural Centre. Graduates are eligible to receive their British Columbia Teacher Certificate.

AHCOTE is a teacher education program offered by Simon Fraser University in partnership with School Districts 59, 60, and 81, local teacher associations, and NLC. The program is designed to prepare teachers for the classroom by providing theoretical and practical experience.
