The Fort St. John RCMP have captured a male suspect allgedy involved in an armed robbery.

During the night of Thursday Dec. 16, the RCMP received a report of a robbery at a local liquor store. A suspect entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect produced a weapon during the altercation.

The male then fled on foot and was apprehended by police within minutes.

The clerk was not injured during the robbery and the suspect is being held in custody awaiting his first court appearance.
