It was a successful weekend for the Knights of Columbus Flyers.

The Bantam Tier 2 team was successful in winning both All Peace games on Saturday and Sunday, despite being short benched due to injury and sickness.

On Saturday, The Flyers took a 3-0 lead in the first period, with goals coming from Ricky Bateman, Brittany Bakstad and Jeff Heber. Unfortunately, the Flyers failed to score again in the second and third periods. Despite Spirit River making it 3-2, some solid goaltending from Flyer’s goalie Lane Delfs helped the flyers secure the victory.

Sunday saw the same positive results for the Flyers. The Flyers were able to beat Peace River 5-3, in a back and forth offensive game. Despite the Flyers issues with penalties, solid goaltending from Sean Gjernes provided The Knights of Columbus Flyers with the win, along with some clutch scoring from Kanye Shallow and Ryan Good.

The Flyers will play their next All Peace game on Jan. 2, in Dawson Creek.
