Two people have been charged with drug-related offences after RCMP conducted an undercover operation near Chetwynd.

Chetwynd RCMP and the RCMP North District General Investigation Section conducted an investigation near Moberly Lake after receiving public complaints about an area residence.

Police say a three-month long undercover operation took place in which officers purchased cocaine several times.

They say a search warrant was then executed at the residence.

A 44 year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Police also say a 40 year-old woman has been charged with two counts of trafficking of a controlled substance.
