Finavera Renewable’s Tumbler Ridge and Wildmare Energy Projects are closer to becoming reality.

The company has submitted Environmental Assessment Applications to the Environmental Assessment Office for the wind projects in Northeastern B.C.

Company officials say that the applications represent an important phase in both project’s development.

The Tumbler Ridge and the Wildmare projects are planned to be built in the Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd areas, respectively.

Officials say they expect to begin construction next year and both should be in operation by 2012.
