There will be internationally renowned speakers, local entertainers and provincial delegates all taking part in the forum.

One of these speakers is New Zealander Te Taru White. Te Taru will be talking about his experience in dealing with his cultural tourism participation of the Maori people of New Zealand.

The Forum is being put on by the Northeast Aboriginal Business Centre and Aboriginal Tourism B.C.
The forum is expected to enhance B.C.’s tourism industry by supporting regional aboriginal groups and showcasing authentic First Nation and Metis experiences.

The training workshop will showcase three themes which relate to businesses that focus on aboriginal cultural tourism. These themes include art and culture, authentic experience as well as nature and beauty.

Paulette Flamond, executive director of the Northeast Aboriginal Business Centre says she sees several possible opportunities for cultural tourism in aboriginal communities.

The Forum will provide business development training and discussions around marketing opportunities.
