A former Fort Nelson elementary school principal has been sentenced to five months in jail for accessing child pornography.

He was convicted on one count of accessing child pornography last fall.

The charges stemmed from various incidents in which he had accessed child pornography. Two of the incidents occurred in June of 2006 when he downloaded more than 100 images from a German website onto a home computer. Seventy-four of the images were found to match the Canadian definition of child pornography.

He was arrested in Fort Nelson on May 8, 2007.

McNeice is a former principal of R.L. Angus Elementary School. During the investigation, police had also found some ‘relevant’ images on his work computer.
