The knights of Columbus Flyers started off the new year the same way in which they ended 2010, undefeated.

On Sunday, The Knights of Columbus AA Bantam Flyers took on Dawson Creek, shutting them out by a score of 3-0. With the win, the flyers undefeated streak is kept alive at an impressive 4-0 against all Peace teams.

After a scoreless first period and with only 47 seconds left in the second, Flyers Lien Miller-Jeannotte took the initiative to get his team on the board, scoring to put the Flyers up 1-0. Miller-Jeannotte’s goal would be the eventual game winner.

The third period saw the Flyers add to their lead, as Thomas Webster scored two goals for his squad, increasing their lead to 3-0, which would eventually be the final score.

Flyer’s goaltender Sean Gjernes earned the shutout in between the pipes.

The team’s next game will take place Sunday, Jan. 22, at home against Fairview.
