Denny Morrison will once again get the opportunity to dawn his red and white racing suit.

After placing first at the Canadian Single Distance Championships held at the Calgary Olympic Oval, Speed Skating Canada has selected Morrison, along with other long track speed skaters, to represent Canada for the two upcoming stops of the Essent ISU Long Track World Cup Circuit this winter.

The first international event taking place this winter is the World Sprint Championships, hosted in Heerenveen, Netherlands, on Jan. 22-23. Denny Morrison (Fort St. John, BC) has been selected to represent Canada in this event, along with Christine Nesbitt (London, ON), Shannon Rempel (Winnipeg, MB) and Jamie Gregg (Edmonton, AB).

Morrison and the rest of Team Canada will then compete at the World Cup circuit in Moscow, Russia, from Jan. 28-30. Morrison has already pre-qualified in specific distances, which have based on his Fall World Cup performance.
