Northern Health is looking to make sure the children of Fort St. John are healthy for the upcoming year.
From Feb. 7-11, Northern Health is asking parents to bring their Kindergarten students to take part in a screening and immunization clinic, taking place at the Fort St. John Health Unit.
The clinic will include hearing and dental health status, information on nutrition, injury prevention, tobacco reduction and lessons on the importance of hand washing.
Also available for those interested, are school entry immunization boosters.
Anyone planning on attending should allow approximately 20-30 minutes per appointment. Parents are asked to leave younger children with a babysitter, rather than bringing them along to the Health Unit.
Parents are also asked to bring the child’s immunization record to the appointment. If you have never visited the Heath Unit, please call and request a transfer of the child’s record.
Interested parents can book an appointment with the Health Unit at 250-263-6000.
