The Prince George RCMP say when they received the call, the store clerk told them the suspect had said she had a knife and demanded money and cigarettes.

Police say the clerk gave the woman $30 in cash and a package of cigarettes.

Police then reviewed surveillance video and later picked up the woman in an apartment building in the city. They say the woman had the cigarettes and cash with her when she was arrested.

The accused has been identified as 34 year-old Sarah June Tom.
