Prince George break-in leads to three arrests

Three people are facing charges after a break-in at a residence near Prince George.

The incident happened early in the morning on Tuesday, at a residence on Blackburn Rd., south of the city.

Prince George RCMP say several suspects stole televisions, jewelry and fur coats among other items. The combined value of the items was more than $10,000.

Police say they were then called to a store later in the day when a clerk became suspicious of two women who were attempting to return several items. They say they questioned the women and also found a male and a vehicle nearby.

Police searched the vehicle and found several of the items that had been stolen from the residence earlier on Tuesday. They say they also found a large amount of Crystal Meth in the vehicle.

A 26 year-old and a 30 year-old woman, along with a 31 year-old man are all facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.

Police say the three accused are all from Prince George and are well known to them.

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP detachment at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
