Sunday, Caribou Road Services stated they couldn’t start clearing the snow until Avalanche technicians were able to assess the slide.  That was supposed to happen at 8a.m. Monday morning.

According to C.R.S., the avalanche technicians have not been able to access the area because of freezing rain in Williams Lake.  The avalanche techs, we understand are from that area.

We hope to have further details about the condition of the avalanche and when crews can start clearing the snow, some time Monday afternoon.

Again Highway 97 is still closed near Link Creek.
