The Fort St. John Legion is a couple thousand dollars closer to fixing its roof.

TransCanada Pipelines presented the Legion with $2,500 towards the cost of having the building’s roof upgraded and repaired.

TransCanada Pipelines donated the funds through its Community Investment team.

Legion officials say the roof is in great need of repair but the cost will be $110,000. So far, the Legion has raised nearly $60,000 towards the total cost.
