Whitecourt Shutout Pups…..Again

The Fort St. John Huskies continue to have no answer for goaltender Jordan Panasiuk; who coming into tonight had 16 games played with 16 wins. You can now make it 17. You can also make that number 10 in the shutout category. The Fort St. John Huskies, for the 3rd time this season, were nullified by Jordan Panasiuk and the overpowering Whitecourt Wolverines.

FSJ fell behind early thanks to three first period markers by Hellekson, Kunz and leading scorer William Cloutier. Any hopes of a comeback were squashed early by the Wolverines in the 2nd when Hellekson notched two in quick succession to complete the Hat-Trick and push his goal total to 12 on the campaign.  Clayton Tilleman’s 3rd and 4th goals of the season and 5 helpers from defenseman Dion LeBlue helped pace Whitecourt to their impressive, league leading 29th win of the 2010/2011 season.

As for the Huskies, after a long drive home from Whitecourt on Sunday, they will look to rebound against the 3rd place Grande Prairie Wheelers on Friday, February 4th in Fort St. John. Puck drop goes at 8:00 pm at the NP Arena.
