Competitors will ski three, two kilometre loops and shoot five targets at a 50 metre distance between each loop.

Large and Van Der Meer have been training since September and both say they are excited for the upcoming competition. The two cadets are being coached by the 2276-Biathalon coach, Ken Lane.

Both men qualified for the event at the Northern Zone Biathlon Competition, which took place in Prince George on Jan. 8.
