UPDATE Sergeant Steve Perret with the Fort St. John RCMP told Energeticcity.ca that the green car that was involved in Friday’s incident on the Alaska Highway was found a few days ago.  Perret says the car was then seized.

At the moment there is no information as to where the car was found.

He says the RCMP are following up on any leads they receive but are not sure whether Budnick is still in Fort St. John or whether he has left the area.

A Canada wide warrant has been issued for Sean David Alexander Budnick after a woman was confined and jumped from a moving vehicle.

The 42 year-old male is charged with a total of five offences including attempted murder and forcible confinement.

Just before 10 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of the Alaska Highway and the 271 Road, the Fort St. John RCMP say they received a call from a witness in a semi-truck that a woman had jumped from a car.

They say the witness then saw the driver of the green car stop and try to reverse over the woman. The woman was taken by ambulance to hospital but was later released. Police state earlier in the evening, the woman was confined and during that time was punched, kicked and beaten with different blunt objects.

The victim who jumped out of the car is a 45 year-old woman.

Sean David Alexander Budnick is believed to be the woman’s ex-boyfriend and they also say they believe he was on drugs and intoxicated during the incident.

The public is being advised to use extreme caution and not to approach Budnick as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

If anyone knows his whereabouts, they are asked to contact their local RCMP detachment or the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8140.
