A man entered the gas station wearing dark clothing and with a large, edged weapon. He fled the scene with a small amount of money but Prince George RCMP say they were able to use surveillance video and other leads to follow the suspect.

Police say a 23 year-old man was arrested one hour later and police are recommending charges of robbery, mischief, weapons offences and failing to comply with a probation order.

The man is expected to have a bail hearing Thursday.
