Environment Canada has issued a wind chill warning for the B.C. Peace region.

Wednesday night we could see temperatures with the wind chill drop to minus 39. Thursday doesn’t look much better with a daytime high of minus 22 and with the wind chill minus 38.

Cold air from an Arctic front in combination with moderate northerly winds will produce cold wind chill values near minus 40 overnight through Thursday morning over the British Columbia Peace region. The cold wind chill will moderate Thursday afternoon as the temperatures rise slightly and northerly winds weaken.
