2011 Gradfest looking for volunteers

The 2011 annual Fort St. John Gradfest is approaching and organizers are asking for the public’s help to make this year’s event a success.

This year’s North Peace Secondary School Gradfest will take place on June 30 at the Fort St. John curling rink. The Hollywood-themed event is being organized by parents and volunteers, with the intention of putting on a fun-filled and safe celebration after students’ graduation.

The event will include games, food and prizes.

However, in order to make the entire evening a success, roughly 100 volunteers are required and the Gradfest Committee is asking residents to consider volunteering their time.

The Gradfest Facebook page is a new addition this year. The Facebook page will be updated with more information as the event date approaches.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering should contact Carl Desmit at 250-787-1018 or send an email to [email protected]

Organizers are also asking for prize, beverages and monetary donations for the event. Anyone who is interested in contributing or would like further information, can contact the fundraising organizer Linda Huffman at 250-785-0029 or email her at [email protected]
