A liquid nitrogen plant in Dawson Creek hasn’t even started production yet and already the operator is doubling its capacity.

Ferus Incorpoated says its 200-tonne-per-day liquid nitrogen plant will be operating by this fall, but a new plant is already under construction.

The second state-of-the-art plant will boost production of liquid nitrogen to 400 tonnes daily as Ferus scrambles to meet the needs of B.C’s expanding energy sector.
