Thursday, the Fort St. John Senior Men’s Flyers will begin competing for the McKenzie Cup.

The AAA senior men’s hockey event will take place in Red Deer Alberta, where the Flyers will face their toughest challenge yet this season. The Flyers will play a best-of-five series against a very skilled opponent, the Bentley Generals.

The games will be taking place Thursday, March 31 until Monday April 4, with games starting at 6 p.m. Fort St. John time at the Red Deer Arena. Although, Sunday and Monday’s game are tentatively scheduled, as they may not be necessary.

All the live action can be heard on 100.1 Moose FM and make sure to tune into the pre-game show with Mike Feeney. That begins 15 minutes prior to puck drop.

The Flyers swept the Prince George Mohawks in the Savage Cup to earn this opportunity. If Fort St. John defeats the Bentley Generals, they will travel to Kenora, Ontario to compete for their second Allan Cup in as many years.
