UPDATE – The Ministry now says the road may not re-open until Friday afternoon.  The Ministry states the road could open by 12p.m., but has a low confidence level.  Thank you to a reader for letting us know there is a detour around the incident using the Old Edmonton Highway.

Highway 2 north of Tomslake is closed because of a vehicle collision.

At this time we have very few details about about the incident, but the Ministry of Transportation says the road will be closed until late Friday morning.

The Ministry will provide another update on the highway at 7:30am.
