This Saturday, the Lido Theatre will be holding a fundraiser for a CN employee.

The Connecting Communities Fundraiser, created for 23 year old Matthew Sheppard, a Fort Nelson resident, will take place starting at 7 p.m.

Sheppard recently had his leg amputated after a workplace accident at the CN Rail yard in Fort Nelson.

The fundraiser will involve live music from bands such as Darcy Bailey and his daughter Jessica, along with many other live performances. There will also be a silent auction, a 50/50, as well as other “secret” surprises.

The fundraiser’s organizers are currently seeking $2,500 for operating funds for the event and as of now, still require roughly $1,600.

Tickets can be purchased at the Telus store at the Totem Mall or at the Lido Theatre. Tickets are $15, $20 dollars for reserved seating or $25 at the door.

For more information on the event or tickets, please contact Dennis Hetman at 250-787-1345.
