A B.C. trade mission is heading overseas to relay the “green benefits” of using wood as a construction material.

The 39-member mission is being lead by Jobs, Tourism, and Innovation Minister Pat Bell who will be meeting with Chinese housing and urban development officials.

They will also be taking part in the Green Building Show in Beijing, which thousands of people from the Chinese construction industry are expected to attend

One of the delegation’s main goals is to produce B.C. lumber sales in the Asian country and show the advantages of building with pre-fabricated components.
