Students entering a new program being offered by Northern Lights College will be eligible for an entrance award.
The $600 award will be available for students entering the environmental practice program at the College’s Fort St. John campus beginning in September. Eligible applicants must also live in northeast B.C.
The program will focus on reclamation and remediation of industrially disturbed land sites, while also teaching students about the regulations surrounding fixing up these sites.
Students must write an essay showing that they understand the opportunities, as well as challenges, relating to a potential career in the environmental practice field. They are encouraged to contact someone within the field as part of the essay.
