Grande Prairie RCMP are searching for a suspect after a home invasion in the Avondale area.

The incident occurred just after 8 p.m. Tuesday when a male broke into a residence.

He is described as being of average height and build. He was also wearing knitted gloves and a dark-coloured hood at the time of the incident.

Police say after the suspect entered the home, he covered the resident’s head before stealing an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was hurt in the home invasion but police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment at 780-830-5700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
