Snowfall will intensify over the Peace River district later today as moisture from a Pacific system spreads from the south. Snow at times heavy will continue through tonight into Sunday. Total snowfall amounts over the south including Dawson Creek will reach up to 25 cm with only amounts of only 10 to 15 cm expected over the Fort St John area. The snow is forecast to taper off to a few flurries Sunday night as the front weakens.
