Fort St. John RCMP are searching for an unknown number of suspects after several parking meters were vandalized in the city.

Police say that over the past few nights, more than 50 parking meters have been broken and smashed. The majority of the damaged meters are on 100 Ave.

They say it appears that the meters were hit with an object and some of the parking meter tops were actually ripped off.

They also say the City is involved in the investigation since it is ultimately responsible for replacing any damaged meters.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the Fort St. John RCMP detachment at 250-787-8140.
