During the month of April, the Fort St. John Church of the Resurrection is expected to begin its expansion.

Last summer, the Church set a timeline to raise enough funds to begin expansion by this April. The goal was raise $3.2 million for the project and despite raising only $1.4 million, members are confident enough money will be raised in the future.

This month, the church will order the concrete walls for the new hall, with construction expected to begin in June. The new hall is expected to be completed by November.

Anyone interested in making a donation towards the Church’s expansion can contact Andy Ackerman at 250-787-8457 or the church office at 250-785-3413.

The expansion of the Church will be used as a location for community gatherings as well as for other community functions.
