Dawson Creek RCMP search for flasher

The Dawson Creek RCMP are looking for your help after a man exposed himself several times in the downtown area.

The RCMP have been investigating a number of indecent acts committed over the last two months. At approximately 8:50 p.m. on February 11, an unknown disguised male exposed himself outside a business on 103 avenue in Dawson Creek. When employees noticed what the male was doing, the male fled the scene. The male had also attended the same business earlier in the day but again fled before police arrived.

Police believe this same male was responsible for a similar indecent act committed at another business on 103 avenue last week. A male entered the business and was interrupted by employees while he was trying to expose himself. He then fled the scene.

The RCMP believe this person is responsible for as many as four similar events over the past few months.

The male is described as being in his early twenty’s and approximately five foot eleven inches tall. In the February incident, the male was wearing black cargo pants and a grey jacket or hoody with a black mask covering his face.

In the most recent incident, the male was wearing a grey jacket and light blue jeans but witnesses did not see his face.

The RCMP don’t believe this person poses a serious violent threat to the general public because he has had a habit of running away once he has been noticed. He has never spoken directly or interacted with anyone at either of the incidents.

The Dawson Creek RCMP are actively investigating this file and are requesting the public’s assistance regarding any information which may lead to the apprehension of this male. Police patrols in the affected areas have been increased and the public are encouraged to call 911 immediately if they witness such an incident.

If you have any information regarding this incident, contact the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
