Increased COVID-19 cases expected

VICTORIA, B.C. - The recent increase in COVID-19 cases in B.C. was expected, says Dr. Henry.

 

Newly elected NDP Leader Adrian Dix says he is planning on visiting the Peace River region soon.

At a teleconference held Wednesday morning, Dix says he hopes to come up to the region within the next couple of months; however, he was not able to provide a date.

He says he had often been up to Dawson Creek and Fort St. John as the executive director of a non-profit organization.

During the conference, he touched on the rising cost of post secondary tuition in the province, a reduction in gaming grants given to charities and denied comparisons between himself and former NDP Premier Glen Clark.

Dix was elected as leader of the B.C. NDP on Saturday, beating out John Horgan, Mike Farnworth and Dana Larsen.
