**UPDATE #3 – As of 9pm, power has been restored.

**UPDATE – As of 1pm, Hydro now says power in the affected areas will be out until 7pm Thursday.  The outage was caused by an equipment failure.

 

Power is out to a large area south of Taylor.

BC Hydro reports the outages stretches from south of the Peace River to just North of Dawson Creek. Hydro lists the outage as affecting an area south of Leahy Pit Road and west of the the 217 road.

Over 600 customers are currently without power and power should be restored by 2:30pm. The cause of the outage is currently under investigation.
