Environment Canada issues another rainfall warning

Rainfall warning for
B.C. South Peace River issued

Rainfall amounts of up to 30 mm over the far southern sections of the B.C. Peace River tonight.


This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. 

Thunderstorms will continue move across the central interior this afternoon. Atmospheric conditions are favourable for some of these thunderstorms to become severe. The main threat from these storms is locally heavy downpours with rainfall amounts up to 25 mm in one hour.

The thunderstorms over the central interior are forecast to spread into an area of rain tonight. The area of the B.C. Peace from the Alberta Elbow to near Tumbler Ridge is expected to receive near 30 mm of rain before the area moves northward and weakens overnight.
