Hudson's Hope hosts weekend bike race


A couple of riders pulled off a repeat victory in Sunday’s Terry Stone Memorial Time Trial in Hudson’s Hope.

On Sunday, the Blizzard Bike Club held the race, which consisted of either a 20 or 40 kilometre course.

Kevin Shaw took first place in the 40 km event, for a repeat victory. Shaw finished the race with a time of 1:05:37. Pat Ferris placed second in the same event with a time of 1:08:41. Ferris’ time was just 10 seconds faster than third place finisher George Gamble.

Sandy McDonald also finished in first place for the second year in a row in the 20 km race with a time of 38:22.

The next event for the Blizzard bike club will be a Baldonnel time trial, which is scheduled to take place Thursday, beginning at 7 p.m.
