An update has been provided in regards to Saturday morning’s double stabbing.
Police have identified 25 year old Amil Puno, of Delta, B.C. as the accused. He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and appeared in Provincial Court Monday afternoon.
The investigation has not revealed any connection between the accused and the two victims and according to RCMP, alcohol is believed to be a significant factor.
Local authorities are declining to release the identity of the two victims and the RCMP is continuing to investigate the offence.

The incident occurred on July 23, at approximately 2:35 a.m. near the intersection of 101 Ave and 98 St. in Fort St. John. Two males were stabbed by a third male and both victims were flown to Vancouver General Hospital with serious injuries. Police located a suspect in the area, who was arrested within minutes of the incident.
