A case of arson is currently being investigated within Fort St. John.

On Tuesday, July 26, local RCMP responded to a call of an attempted arson in the area of 108 St. and 104 Ave.

Community Interviews with Moose FM

Upon arrival, police found a home under construction to have isolated fire damage within the building. RCMP concluded the damage was deliberate and could have potentially resulted in a more serious situation.

The damage is estimated at $10,000 and occurred sometime between 3 p.m. on July 25 and 11:30 a.m. on July 26.

Currently, RCMP has no suspects or witnesses and police are asking for the public’s assistance in solving this crime.
