Rec sites, forest service roads closed due to flooding

The Murray River FSR, leading to the popular Kinuseo Falls near Tumbler Ridge, has been impacted and access to recreational sites and trails along the road is limited. The area is only passable by pickup truck, and roadwork continues today so expect delays.

There is currently no access to Wright Lake, Gething Creek and Carbon Lake recreation sites, as well as to Battleship Mountain hiking trail.

The Johnson Creek FSR near Moberly Lake, the Fisher Creek and Silver Sands FSRs west of Chetwynd, and Table Creek FSR near Hudson's Hope are all closed. The Moberly River FSR near Moberly Lake has also been impacted and repair work is underway, and the road is open for pickup truck access only.

Travellers are advised to use caution when using back roads and be preparedfor extreme conditions. Staff from the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations will continue to monitor the conditions and will provide updates as they become known.
