UPDATE Police are continuing to search for the 14 year-old’s body and are now now conducting aerial searches of the river.
Grande Prairie and Beaverlodge RCMP are searching for the body of a 14 year-old boy who drowned at Red Willow Falls.
Police say the boy was swimming with a group at the falls, south of Elmworth, Alta., near the B.C. border, Sunday evening.
They received a call at around 8:50 p.m. that the boy had been pulled under by the current and subsequently began a search. However, police had to call off the search after it became dark.
The search began again Monday morning.
