The body of a 14 year-old boy who drowned at the end of July has been found.
The youth’s body was located during an aerial search, Thursday, nearly two weeks after he drowned while swimming with friends at the Red Willow Falls on July 24.
Beaverlodge RCMP say the group had been swimming at the falls, south of Elmworth, Alta., near the B.C. border.
They received a call at around 8:50 p.m. that the boy had been pulled under by the current and subsequently began a search. However, police had to call off the search after it became dark.
Police have been searching ever since and had called in personnel with the Tactical Search and Rescue, the Dive Team and Sustainable Resource Development.
