City looking for feedback on Official Community Plan

The city of Fort St. John is looking for your input on its Official Community Plan.

City Planner Kevin Brooks has prepared a draft of the document, which will be used as a policy tool for land use planning.

Residents are encouraged to check out the draft plan on the city’s website, or pick one up at city hall, and give their feedback.

The deadline to provide input is September 9th. Those interested can also attend a meeting at the Lido Theatre on September 10th to discuss the plan with city staff.

Revised with feedback, the final plan is intended to be presented to City Council for approval October 11th.

For more information, or a digital copy of the OCP, contact Planning Technologist Jennifer Decker at jdecker@fortstjohn.com or City Planner Kevin Brooks at kbrooks@fortstjohn.ca.
