Dawson Creek RCMP seeking volunteers for community policing programs

Speed Watch is a program designed to alert motorists to their actual speed while going through high collision areas or school zones. Speed Watch volunteers will be trained to use the radar board and to wear proper safety gear while working to make the city`s streets safer.

Citizens on Patrol is an organization which volunteers their time to patrolling the streets of Dawson Creek and reporting any suspicious activity to the police. Police believe it`s also a great way for people to make a difference in their community while meeting great people.

Candidates for either program must be at least 19 years old.
