Energy Minister responds to OCG CEO resignation

Energy Minister Rich Coleman has issued a statement after Alex Ferguson resigned as commissioner of the Oil and Gas Commission.

In Coleman’s statement, he thanks Ferguson for his work over the past four years as commissioner and CEO at the B.C. Oil and Gas Commission.

He says these have been important years for B.C.’s oil and gas sector, and through them the commission has emerged as a leading Canadian regulator.

Coleman concluded with saying Ferguson is leaving the OGC with a strong organization that is poised to continue to safely and effectively regulate oil and gas activity for the benefit of everyone within the Province.

The official news of Ferguson’s resignation came on August 10, after serving as the commissioner and CEO of the OCG for five years.
