Fire in Grandhaven

Last night at approximately quarter to one, the Charlie Lake Fire Department responded to a fire on Holly Road.

It appears that electrical problems sparked a fire underneath a trailer, forcing a mother and two young children out of the home.

Fortunately, the family had done their homework and followed through a fire evacuation plan, resulting in no one being injured.

Fire crews were able to hold damage to a minimum, but are still investigating what the definite cause of the fire was.
