Huskies make headlines with two announcements

Anyone interested in donning a yellow and black hockey jersey for the upcoming hockey season has the opportunity to do so.

Taking place the weekend of Sept. 9-11, the Junior B Fort St. John Huskies will be holding their annual tryouts, taking place at the North Peace Arena, beginning at 7 p.m.

The tryouts are open at anyone who plays the game of hockey at the Junior B level, between the ages of 17-20.

The Huskies organization is also pleased to announce their new bench boss for the upcoming season. Gary Alexander will be making his way back to the coaching position, after taking a few years off as head coach.

Alexander coached the pups for multiple previous campaigns, including their 2006-2007 campaign where the dogs went all the way to the league finals.
