It’s the last day to take part in deciding the fate of the controversial 13-month-old Harmonized Sales Tax.
Residents around Fort St. John will have until 4:30 p.m. to drop off their ballots at the provincial government building on 100 St.
That’s the Elections B.C. deadline for receiving referendum ballots from registered voters.
Although more than than three million ballots were reportedly mailed out and thousands more were requested, the official number of votes received willl not be revealed until next week.
It could also be at least three weeks before ballots are counted and verified.
