Failure to abide by the speed limit of 30 kilometres an hour in a school zone could result in a ticket ranging from $138 up to $483, and your vehicle could be impounded for seven days with the associated costs.

The Dawson Creek RCMP will be out in full force to ensure the safety of children walking or riding their bicycles to school.
