RCMP investigating five vehicle collision on highway 97

At around 6 p.m. Wednesday, the RCMP were called to the scene of a five vehicle collision on Highway 97S near the Borek construction yard.  The RCMP believe one vehicle attempted to slow down as it entered a construction zone.  Then one vehicle rear ended another causing a chain reaction.

Dawson Creek RCMP believe no one was seriously hurt but five people suffered minor injuries. 

Highway 97S was closed for an hour while emergency crews worked to clean up the accident scene.

The RCMP are still investigating the cause of the accident and will involve Work Safe B.C. because the a collision occurred in a construction zone.
