The car then drove off and when it came across a red light at an intersection, the driver jumped the curb and drove along the sidewalk to pass stopped traffic.

The driver then tried to jump another curb, but hit three vehicles and subsequently fled the collision on foot.

The man was later found by police sitting as a passenger in another vehicle.

A 30 year-old Grande Prairie resident was arrested and is facing several charges, including dangerous driving, hit and run, theft under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance, along with driving while unauthorized.

He is currently being held in police custody.

The 22 year-old female driver of the second vehicle is facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance and the 21 year-old male passenger in the Impala is facing a charge of theft under $5,000.

They are both expected in court in the fall.
