Young nearly sets bike club record

A hot, sunny evening was ideal conditions for another Blizzard Bike Club race.

On Thursday evening, the club held a 16 km Baldonnel Time Trial, which was won by Colter Young.

Young finished in first place with a time of 22 minutes and 56 seconds. Irvin Tang was second with a time of 25:08 and Pat Ferris third, at 26:08.

Young also came within three seconds of tying the course record of 22:53, which was set back on May 5 by Stephen Ferris.

The next event for the Blizzard Bike Club will be the S & S Turbines Hill Climb Championships, on the Bear Flats hill. It will be taking place Friday, August 12 and will begin at 10 a.m.
